Boys Varsity Soccer Video & Analysis: Oak Hills (1) vs Apple Valley (1) - April 6, 2021

Oak Hills High School Boys Varsity Soccer hosted Apple Valley High School to a Mojave River League (MRL) thriller that ended in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. The fast-paced match beneath sunny skies and moderate wind left both teams tied for first in MRL standings after a win and draw each. Angel Cruz finished the game-tying goal for Oak Hills Soccer. Heading into Thursday’s high school soccer game, Apple Valley Boys Soccer hosts Serrano High School Soccer with a record of two goals for and 1 goal against, while Oak Hills Boys travel to Sultana High School with two goals for and two against in MRL action. Serrano soccer remains scoreless, currently tied for fifth with Burroughs in league standings, both with a single loss each. Sultana is tied for third with eight goals for and one against. Hesperia, which would otherwise be in first with a 1-1 draw versus Oak Hills to open its season, suffered a forfeit due to clerical error, fielding an ineligible player in that match who was less than two days away from transfer eligibility. After a two-goal shutout at Serrano this week, Hesperia heads to Burroughs.
